Wingo will increase its capacity to the Dominican Republic by 75% to meet the demand of Colombian travelers to the destination, this is an increase in the Flights that cover the two operational routes to Punta Canawith six additional frequencies that will represent up to 9,000 added seats.
The airline indicated that the increase will have an emphasis on the last quarter of 2024, with a special focus on the peak season weeks of both December 2024 and January 2025.
Wingo will start additional Flights between Bogota-Punta Cana On September 1, 2024, it will add one frequency per week, to complete the increases from November 2024, when the daily Flight between the two destinations will be implemented. The two additional Flights represent 3,000 seats per month, which are already on sale at Wingo.com.
To the route Medellin – Punta Cana – Medellin, Two weekly frequencies will be added from November 1, 2024, to complete these increases on December 16, 2024, when a daily Flight will be offered focused on peak season weeks. The four additional Flights represent 6,000 additional seats, which are also already available.
