Police agents, assigned to the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), based in Bávaro, La Altagracia province, placed a man and a woman under arrest after being caught in possession of several stolen items, property of a tourist.
The detainees are Alexander Peña, 24, and Rossayni Villega de Jesús, 26.
According to the police report, the stolen belongings were stolen from a villa, where a 49-year-old American tourist is staying.
Among the recovered items are an iPod with its case, two watches, a cell phone valued at 45,000 pesos, two sunglasses, and a wireless phone charger.
The detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, for the corresponding legal purposes.
