ACIS praised the Government’s decision

The Association of Merchants and Industrialists of Santiago (ACIS) praised the decision of the Dominican Government to begin the bidding for the construction of the Amber Highwaywhose main objective is to unite this province with Puerto Plata in just 20 to 25 minutes.
Sandy Filpopresident of ACIS, indicated that the road infrastructure seeks to maximize connectivity between Santiago and Puerto Plata and turn the two provinces into a single tourist destination.
“This was a great dream of the commercial and business entities of Santiago and Puerto Plata, since it will not only increase the number of visitors to this city, but will also make it possible to do better business,” he said.
He said that with the highway in operation, the movement of tourists visiting the North Coast to the city of Santiago will be expedited, according to El Nacional.
