Royal Caribbean: passengers book cruises and services early

Royal Caribbean CEO Jason Liberty said not only are passengers booking cruises in advance, but they are also booking everything from excursions to internet and beverage packages before the trip.

Liberty noted that advance reservations for cruise services or activities allow guests to enjoy their vacation from the first day because they will not have to wait in line, and the cruise line ensures this, the executive said during the financial presentation for the first quarter.

Liberty also said that they are close to having more reservations in 2025 than in 2024 and are already accepting reservations for 2026. Reservations continue to expand, so guests “make their decisions much further in advance,” said Liberty, as reported by Thestreet.

As reported by REPORTUR.usLiberty recently noted that one-third of its customers are new, while another third are loyal, but also explained that they have another third of customers who are first-time buyers of a brand. Liberty also indicated at the time that it is about its customers booking more for the experience than for its brands. Once they have experienced some ships, they look for different experiences through others, but the shipping company makes sure that it is within its brands and for this it uses its loyalty program, as Travel Weekly reported.
