Despegar presented its financial results corresponding to the first quarter of 2024, where it reported a new period of sustained growth. Gross bookings amounted to 1.3 billion dollars, 12% more than in the same period of the previous year, driven by solid commercial execution and a strong demand environment in its key markets: Brazil and Mexico. The company states that “in line with our omnichannel strategy, we continue to focus efforts on our Apps, which continue to be a central axis of the business and great allies when planning Trips, reaching 48.9% of total transactions in the quarter, an absolutely record, with a growth of 36.1% year-on-year.”
Likewise, significant growth was recorded in the B2B business and White Label solutions, which together represented 17% of Gross Bookings, with a year-on-year increase of 208 percentage points.
