Cancun added 549 operations

The four airports in Quintana Roo reopened 621 operations on Sunday, following the passage of Hurricane Beryl. Cancun Airport completed 549 operations, 188 domestic and 361 international.
Tulum airport had 38 operations, 24 international and 14 domestic. Cozumel airport had 24, with 8 international operations and 16 domestic; while Chetumal airport had 10 operations, all domestic.
“Our beaches look spectacular and tourism reports reflect great numbers of visitors,” said Governor Mara Lezama during her aerial tour of Quintana Roo, as reported by El Economista.
The 11 municipalities and 12 destinations of Quintana Roo received 223,624 international and 93,573 national tourists over the weekend. Among the international tourists were those from the United States, Canada, Colombia, the United Kingdom, France, Argentina, Germany, Spain, Brazil and Chile.
As reported by REPORTUR.mxwith the start of the summer season, Cancun airport began with a decrease in Flights to 482 per day, moving away from its record of 700. 29 airlines arrived at the airport, as reported at the time by Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (Asur).
