The National Police reports that after intelligence and investigation work, a criminal gang that was dedicated to stealing vehicles of different brands and models was dismantled, which they then marketed fraudulently, affecting dozens of citizens.
The blow to the criminal structure was possible after arduous investigative and intelligence work by officers of the Operational Department II of Police Stolen Vehicle Investigation, which allowed several simultaneous interventions to be deployed in the provinces of Santiago and Puerto Plata.
The official report indicates that the renowned vehicle thieves Juan Ubaldo Contreras Guillermo (Danny) and Francis Miguel Contreras were arrested in Santiago. Meanwhile, in the province of Puerto Plata, Domingo Antonio Clase Lebron and Orlando de la Cruz Ozoria were arrested.
The law enforcement institution specified that Contreras Guillermo (a) Danny is the leader of the criminal structure, which was dedicated to stealing Kia K5, Kia Sorento, Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Sonata brand vehicles. Danny was wanted in response to three arrest warrants in the National District, Santo Domingo Oeste and Puerto Plata.
According to the investigations, the suspect Francis Miguel Contreras is one of the people who is dedicated to stealing the vehicles, along with the fugitive Starlin Gil Ulloa, against whom 4 arrest warrants have been issued.
Also identified as part of the criminal structure is Esmeraldo Taveras Florentino (El Enfermo yo Bombillo), who is imprisoned in the Najayo prison.
The Police specify that Clase Lebron, who resides in Puerto Plata, is one of the people who bought the stolen vehicles from the detained Contreras Guillermo (Danny), who also sold stolen vehicles to those named Cristian, a resident of Villa Tapia; Tomy Odalis (Tomy Brilla) and the one named “El Gordo Baby Face”, who are fugitives and their location is activated.

Kia brand, Sorrento model, silver color, year 2013, plate G414271, chassis 5XYKT3A12DG348455; robbed on Avenida Jacobo Majluta, Santo Domingo Norte on 04-02-2024;

Honda brand, CRV model, white color, year 2012, license plate G374854, chassis 5J6RM4H50CL050297, in which it was being transported at the time of being detained;
Meanwhile, the Hyundai brand vehicle, model Sonata LF, gray color, year 2017, license plate A991677, chassis KMHE341DBHA350742, was seized from the detained Contreras Guillermo (Danny).
