As part of its 90th anniversary, Aeroméxico is launching a new look for its planes, which includes a revamped version of the iconic Caballero Águila, which dates back to 1959. The design of the airline’s fleet shows the evolution of the brand and strengthens its warmth, injects dynamism, modernity and reflects contemporary Mexico.

The new image was first seen on the fuselage of an Embraer-190 aircraft with registration XA-IAC, and will gradually be incorporated into the more than 150 aircraft that make up the current fleet of Mexico’s flagship airline, which is also the largest and most modern in its nine-decade history.

The updated eagle knight logo features a more human face that conveys closeness and empathy, attributes that are part of Aeroméxico’s purpose of having a greater connection with its customers, employees and allies. Its redesigned helmet represents the fuselage of an aircraft at the top and the plumage characteristic of the original version at the bottom.

The work was carried out at the International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) facilities in Amarillo, Texas, and consisted of removing the previous paint from the fuselage, wings, engines and surfaces, to apply the design that is being launched today.

Andrés Conesa, CEO of Aeroméxico, said: “This year marks a milestone of great significance for all of us who are part of the Aeroméxico family, as we celebrate 90 years of history. As part of this very special anniversary, I am proud to present the new image that will adorn our fleet, which is a reflection of the internal transformation we have undertaken to consolidate a world-class product, always keeping our customers at the center of everything we do. This anniversary is a great opportunity to remember all the achievements we have made, look ahead and give our best to continue taking Travel to new heights.”

As reported by REPORTUR.mxAeromexico investors recently agreed to lift the USD 20 million monetary penalty for Mexican shareholders if they sold their shares to non-Mexican investors before March 17, 2027. (Aeromexico: Mexican shareholders will be able to sell shares in NY).
