In honor of SpongeBob’s 25th anniversary, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts is launching a celebration that will take place throughout July 2024 as part of the award-winning “Summer of SpongeBob SquarePants” program.
For the celebration, both Nickelodeon resorts in Dominican Republic and in Mexicohave introduced new SpongeBob beach-themed overlays, perfect for family photos during this special anniversary, along with a limited-time 25th anniversary sandcastle display created by local artists.
In Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta CanaTeam Nick will host an epic surprise party for SpongeBob, featuring SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward. Resort guests are invited to join in the festivities, which include a giant cake, games, piñatas, party favors, live music and character photo ops. Plus, there will be a live DJ in Gourmet Village, Splash Mobs and more.
Guests of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Mayacan have fun with SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward and Sandy. Festivities will take place at Golden Pineapple in the main lobby and will include lots of dancing and a raffle with great prizes. Kids can even enjoy a special SpongeBob-themed drink.
Additionally, Nickelodeon will kick off SpongeBob’s 25th anniversary with SpongeBob and Patrick hosting the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards live from Bikini Bottom on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). This premiere comes just ahead of SpongeBob’s series anniversary on July 17 and will feature enhanced graphics and advanced augmented reality.
