He salsero Dominican José Alberto “El Canario” has been awarded today with a Latin Grammyin the category of “Best album tropical traditional at the gala before the ceremony in which the Latin Recording Academy will celebrate its twenty-fifth anniversary in Miami.
When José Alberto “El Canario” released his album, he revealed that he was joining the celebration of the declaration of the bolero by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity, with the launch of his album Rolling around the worlddedicated to gender and music Cuban.
This album, which received recognition from critics and the public, earned him the prestigious Latin Grammy in the category of Best Salsa Album.
“For me it is a pleasure to continue this line of tributes to the music Cuban. And the pleasure is even greater if it is the boleroan exciting genre that never goes out of style and that has been declared heritage,” said the singer on that occasion.
The album was recorded in studies from Santiago de Cuba, Havana, Miami, New York, New Jersey, Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, Bogotá, Mexico City to Madrid.
- This collection album features the stake of great stars of the diphe meringueson and vallenato, like Gilberto Santa Rosa, Víctor Manuelle and Charlie Aponte (Puerto Rico); Jorge Celedón (Colombia); Milly Quezada and Sergio Vargas (Dominican Republic); and Pablo Milanés, Alejandro Almenares, Alexander Abreu, Los Guanches, Azabache and Magic Sax Quartet (Cuba).
