Juanes premieres on the big screen with the movie ‘Pimpinero. Blood and gasolinedirected by the Colombian Andres Baiza film that will hit movie theaters next Thursday, a challenge that he took on as “another form of expression” beyond his music, the artist detailed at the film’s premiere this Monday in Bogotá.
“Almost without knowing what it was about, I told him ‘one, brother,'” he said. Juanes when describing how he came to this project, for which he had to auditionalthough Baiz (‘Narcos’ and ‘Griselda’) was clear that he was the right one for the character, which he interpreted based on “imagination, memories and experiences personal”.
Juanes gives life to Mosesthe oldest of three siblings. Ulises (Alberto Guerra) is the middle one and Juan (Alejandro Speitzer) is the youngest.
The three form the clan Estrada, some old-fashioned pimpineros who are dedicated to smuggling of gasoline between Venezuela and Colombia in 2012 and live in the desert Colombian department of La Guajira until a dispute with other smugglers ends in a dramatic end.
