The Public Ministry would have accepted the complaint filed by the lawyers of the teenager’s family Ismael Urena against the former player Yordy Cabrerawho directs the academy of baseball where the minor was supposedly injected with veterinary steroids.
This was indicated by the legal representatives of the relatives of the deceased young man and his two brothers (who were also left with consequences) upon leaving the Attorney General’s Office, where they held a meeting with the general director of Persecution, Yeni Berenice Reynoso.
Although they did not offer further statements, in order to “avoid hindering the investigations”, Orlando Aracena, president of the Family Without Violence Foundation, which accompanies the family, said after the meeting: “We want to tell you that we are leaving calmly (. ..), there is hope.”
“Our complaint has been accepted and there is an event in process,” Aracena added.
Lawyer Russell Aracena added that the representative of the Public Ministry “committed to enforcing the laws.”

The complaint against Cabrera was filed at the beginning of November, however, the complaint about the case was made in mid-October, as indicated by the lawyers upon their arrival at the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office.
The legal representatives of Ureña’s family reiterated the call to intervene in the academies of baseball of the country after the death of the 14-year-old teenager.
