During the last weekend of May, Cancun reached a Hotel occupancy rate of 72.3 percent, as reported yesterday by the Hotel Association of Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres.
However, according to the daily report of the Hotel organization, Cancun is not the only destination with a slight decrease in occupancy, since there is also Puerto Morelos with 60 percent, while Isla Mujeres and the continental zone rebounded to 81.6 percent.
According to the Hotel union, this represents some 86,657 tourists staying in one of the 54,434 rooms that are part of the Association; That is, the report does not consider people who stay on other platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.
In addition to Hotel occupancy, Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste also registered an increase in Flights this Saturday, accumulating 550 operations. There were a total of 275 arrivals at the Cancun International Airport, of which 89 were national and 186 international; as well as 275 departures, of which 85 were national and 190 international.
