The president stated that the process of fusion and elimination would begin now and that 80% of these proposals must be sent to the National Congress.
“The whole process of fusion or change of structure It will be planned from now on and that is why we created a reform unit with DarÃo Castillo and through the MAP as the Ministry of Public Administration, since they will be in charge of the entire process from now on,” he said.
Mergers
According to the Minister of Public Administration (MAP), Sigmund Freund, at least six ministries will be merged.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT) will be assumed by the Ministry of Education (MINERD), while the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development (MEPyD) will be merged with the Ministry of Finance, and will henceforth be the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
