The mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejia, Together with commanders of the National Police, he led the launch of the pilot plan for citizen security in the Colonial CityNational District, measure executed by Ramon Antonio Guzman Peraltadirector general of the law enforcement institution.
The initiative is launched on the instructions of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and will have 143 members of the National Police and the integration of the Armed Forces.
The implementation of the initiative, which will coincide with the inauguration process for the second term of the President, will continue to operate on a permanent basis, since with the arrangements being made in the area to increase the arrival of tourists, reinforcement will be necessary.
The operation will be implemented within the perimeter of Francisco Alberto Caamaño Avenue, to the east; Mella Avenue, to the north; Padre Billini Street, to the south; and Estrelleta Street, to the west.
