Rainieri also highlighted the importance of Altagracia as the country’s economic engine. The province contributes more than 14% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and ranks fourth in collections from the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII), with income that exceeded 26.5 billion pesos in 2022.
