The beauty pageant Miss AI already has a winner: the model generated by artificial intelligenceKenza Layli.
While Kenza and her rivals do not exist in reality, the prize does. Organized by the World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) platform, the pageant offers $5,000 to the winner, Miss AI. This prize, along with mentoring programs in artificial intelligence technology and public relations services, goes to the creators of the winning model.
This hijab-wearing model thanked the pageant judges for their decision in a video posted on Instagram:
“Excited to announce that I have been crowned Miss IA! “Representing Morocco and the Arab world in this ground-breaking competition has been an incredible honour. Thank you to my wonderful fans for their unwavering support and to the esteemed jury for this prestigious recognition,” she said.
Aitana López, an AI-generated influencer who was part of the jury, told the New York Post that Kenza Layli won not only for her beauty and commitment to social causes, but also for her “great facial harmony” and the “excellent quality in the details of her hands, eyes and clothing.”
What is Miss AI
The World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) was the first global awards program of its kind, dedicated to recognizing the achievements of AI creators around the world. The first edition of WAICA included Miss AI, where traditional beauty pageants were brought into the realm of AI creators. Contestants were judged on their beauty, technology and influence.
The figures were judged on classic aspects of this type of pageant, including their beauty, poise and their answers to questions such as “if you could have a dream to make the world a better place, what would it be?”
Contestants earned points for their skill in implementing AI tools, including the use of prompts, their production, and visual details related to hands, eyes, and backgrounds.
The social influence of AI creators was assessed based on their fan engagement numbersthe audience growth rate and the use of other platforms such as Instagram.
The contest featured a jury composed of four members: Andres Bloch, media founder, entrepreneur and public relations consultant; Sally-Ann Fawcett, historian and author of books on beauty pageants; Aitana López and Emily Pelligrini, both creators of AI-powered content.
A points-based system was used to rate each creator, with each participant receiving an overall score.
Fanvue, the company behind the contest, He did not clarify how Aitana López and Emily Pelligrini made their verdicts given that they are artificial intelligences that do not have their own criteria.so you might think that its developers were the real judges.
To participate, you had to be the creator of an AI-generated model and have a presence on social media. The developer had to be at least 18 years old and present identification to verify this.
Creations could be produced from any type of generator, be it DeepAI, MidJourney or a proprietary tool. However, the model had to be 100% AI-generated.
What are AI-generated models?
AI-generated models or influencers are digital representations created using artificial intelligence algorithms. These models do not exist in physical realitybut are produced using advanced technologies.
A notable case is Lil Miquela, a virtual influencer who has amassed a following by offering content similar to that of a real human. Emily Pellegrini was designed to appeal to an adult audience and even has an account on OnlyFans.
