The first contingent of Kenyan police arrived in Port-au-Prince on Tuesday morning. These agents are part of a support mission sent by Kenya to contribute to stability and security in the region.

A Kenya Airways flight landed at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, marking the beginning of the official presence of Kenyan police in Haiti. The arrival of this contingent represents a significant step in joint efforts to strengthen security institutions and maintain peace in the Caribbean country.

The mission of the Kenyan police officers in Port-au-Prince will be carried out in close collaboration with the Haitian authorities and other international organizations.

Kenya, recognized for its commitment to global peace and security, decided to send its best agents to support reconstruction and stabilization efforts in Haiti. This action reinforces the ties of friendship between both countries and demonstrates the solidarity of the international community in times of crisis.

The Kenyan contingent, composed of highly trained and experienced officers, has been carefully selected to meet the specific challenges presented in Port-au-Prince. Its presence in the region not only seeks to provide security, but also promote socioeconomic development and contribute to the restoration of trust in local institutions.

As the mission progresses, more police contingents from other countries are expected to join this joint initiative to provide lasting security and stability in Haiti.
