The Corporation Free Trade Zone Santiago (CZFS) reported that the fire which was recorded this Thursday in the Victor Espaillat Mera Industrial Park (Pivem) occurred in one of the supplies and inputs warehouses of textile materials.

In a release Together with Pivem he said that firefighters of the corporation work in coordination with other units in the area to contain the fire.
He National System of Attention to Emergencies and Security 911 said that it coordinated this assistance, after viewing the fire through video surveillance cameras.
In a press release he detailed that he deployed 14 trucks of the Corps of Firefighters from Navarrete, Mao, San José de Las Matas and Moca; a unit from the National Police and one from the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (Digesett), as well as an ambulance from the Directorate of Services for Attention to Emergencies Out-of-hospital (EHV) infections.
“The firefighters are working hard to control the fireusing the resources necessary to prevent it from spreading to other areas,” 911 said.
Exhortation
The 911 System urged the citizens to give way to emergency vehicles to ensure prompt and timely assistance, and recalled the importance of remaining calm and following the instructions of the authorities in emergency situations.
