Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecasts for this Monday moderate and sometimes heavy downpours, electrical storms and isolated gusts of wind due to the incidence of a trough in combination with a tropical wave. Both meteorological phenomena will maintain favorable conditions for rainfall to continue in different regions of the national territory.
In this sense, the entity keeps the provinces under weather alerts and warnings: Hermanas Mirabal, Santiago, Duarte, Dajabón, MarÃa Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, Santo Domingo, Espaillat, Hato Mayor, Monte Cristi, Sánchez RamÃrez, El Seibo, Valverde, La Vega, Monte Plata, Puerto Plata, Samaná, La Altagracia, ElÃas Piña and Santiago RodrÃguez.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, Onamet foresees a lot of humidity, which will be transported by the southeast wind to different regions of the country. In addition to the incidence of a trough at different levels of the troposphere. This scenario will favor meteorological conditions to generate precipitation of different intensities and frequencies, thunderstorms and gusts of wind in several provinces in the northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest, north and the Central Mountain Range regions.
According to Onamet, temperatures will be hot during the day, becoming cool during the morning, night and early morning.
