The Argentine producer Bizarrap published his 60th session with the Dominican artist Lismar, in which he returns to his original style more focused on hip-hop and rap that characterized the musician in his first publications.
Just a month after presenting his project with the Mexican performer Natanael Cano, which has accumulated more than 35 million views on YouTube, the one from Ramos Mejía (province of Buenos Aires) published his new and long-awaited collaboration, to which is added a song extra, as happened with the ‘corridos tumbados’ artist.
A Bizarrap song for Lismar
The session where ‘Biza’ recovers that style that made the musician famous and speaks a lot about the brilliant career of the Caribbean singer until reaching this moment, highlighting the hard childhood that the artist had to suffer in the Los Mina neighborhood of Santo Domingo , famous for its African-American inhabitants, the ‘maroons’.
“Like Lominera I face my problems,” says the lyrics of the song.
The artist boasts throughout the verses of everything she has achieved at only 18 years old, while in the chorus Lismar changes her outfit and boasts that now “it is the fashion” thanks to her work and effort, with a rhythmic base totally different.
The footage ends with the transformation of the performer into a retro video game character, after which the phrase appears: “Watch the next video, yes or no?”, in the pure style of recreational games.
The image in the second track, ‘Subió la Temperature’, begins with the producer as a child playing a console that imitates the Playstation 1, and takes on that ‘vintage’ pixelated feel while honoring great titles of the genre like ‘ Resident Evil’, showing the two artists chased by a horde of zombies.
Tribute to video games
While he demonstrates his ‘flow’ rapping at a dizzying tempo, the music video becomes a tribute to video games like ‘Grand Theft Auto’ or ‘Dead Rising’, while other emblems of the time emerge such as the old chain American movie rental ‘Blockbuster’.
“Don’t compare yourself, we will never be equal, I walk with my tigueres and they are not abnormal, There is no rating from 1 to 10, I am a 100,” he says in the song.
The video is co-directed by Bizarrap, which marks the first time that the artist exposes his audiovisual creativity beyond having been part of the team for one of his promotional videos.
Patricia Lismary Fernández Soto, better known as Lismar, began to gain fame in the ‘freestyle’ battles, where she stood out and made a name for herself like other artists on the continent such as the Argentine Duki.
Lismar is the second artist from his country to release a session with Bizarrap since Session #43 with trapper Chucky73 in 2022.
The collaboration comes almost four months after he released number 58 with the young Puerto Rican artist Young Miko, which has already accumulated more than 170 million listens on the Spotify platform.
Previously, ‘Biza’ had published a project with his compatriot, the rapper Milo J, a session that was accompanied by the project ‘In sleeping without Madrid’, a collaborative production that mixed urban sound with images of various Argentine enclaves.
In the latest edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, held last November in Seville (Spain), the Argentine was one of the great winners of the night, winning three of the main awards.
