With a dish inspired by the Dominican Republic Justin Martinez won for the fourth time in the competence “Big Tex Choice“, which takes place in Texas and rewards characteristic dishes. It surpassed 65 Participants in the category of “Best Taste-Salty”.
Martinez presented a dish to the judges Dominican fried food which he named the “Dominican Fritura Dog,” which consisted of double-fried cornmeal, split open and topped with Dominican salami, fried cheese, garlic plantain chips, and his “top-secret” Dominican sauce.
This year, Martinez participated in the competence in order to do something special in honor of his fatherwho passed away earlier this year and with the goal of challenging himself with the creation of an exquisite dish with a Dominican touch, although his family is of Mexican descent.
