More than 100 agents anti-narcotics and canine units of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), supported by other intelligence agencies, will reinforce intelligence operations interdiction against drug trafficking and other crimes, in the main air and port terminals of the country.
The DNCD reported that from this moment on it is expanding its ability operational and action, due to the large flow of passengers and merchandise that, for this christmas timeincreases by airports and ports.
He body anti-narcoticsdecided to reinforce the operational surveillance and interdictionat the Punta Cana International Airport, Las Américas, the La Romana, Cibao and Puerto Plata terminals, as well as the ports from Caucedo, Haina Oriental and Montecristi.
“As of this moment, a total of 140 are being sent agents and canine unitsoperational components, which have the mission of act respecting people’s rights, but proceeding firmly to prevent illicit drug trafficking and other crimes in the country’s terminals,” said the DNCD in a statement.
It was announced that as the Christmas and New Year holidays approach, there will be more deployment of agents in their operational areas.
