Agents of the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) and members of the Public ministrythey dismantled a network, where they occupied more than 46 thousand grams of different narcotics, vehicles, orn firearm, ammunition and cash, in several operations carried out in Santiago.
The agents and several prosecutors, after receiving intelligence reports, carried out five raids simultaneously, in the Ciruelitos, Invi and Ciénaga sectors of that city, where they arrested two men and seized 3,005 grams of cocaine, 14,968 of dope, 28,421 grams of crack33 of methamphetamine and 462 ecstasy pills.
During the operation, a pistol with its magazine, ammunition, vehicles, 03 cell phones, RD $174,200 pesos, a money counting machine, 06 scales, sealers, 13 aluminum pots, several packages of tairra, hundreds of covers, among other evidence were also seized.
Among those arrested are Nelson Daniel Ceballos, identified as one of the ringleaders of micro-trafficking in Santiago Oeste, and Esmeldy Pina (El Rubio). Both were placed at the disposal of the Permanent Attention Jurisdiction of Santiago to be subjected to coercive measures in the coming hours.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office and the DNCD are deepening their investigations into the case, while pursuing other members of this criminal structure, who have already been identified, in order to arrest them and bring them to justice.
