The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, issued the Decree 445-24, which designates the largest general Carlos Antonio Fernandez Onofre in front of the Ministry of Defense of the Dominican Republic and raises it to lieutenant general.
Fernández Onofre assumes this position replacing lieutenant general Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, ERD, who has been placed in honorable retirement status.
