Citizens of Ñ Street Restoration sectorin the province of San Pedro de Macorís, reported this Thursday that they have not received energy electric and that, although they have reported the situationthe Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) has not resolved the problem.
They assured that the electrical energy in several streets of the Restoration sectordue to the burst of a transformer.
Citizen Rosa Castillo said that when she reported the problem to Edeestethe company assured them that in about 72 hours they would be solving it, but eight days have already passed.
“When consulted in report what they say is that it is in fault older, but we haven’t even seen one brigade to try to solve the problem,” said Castillo, one of those affected.
Likewise, citizen Luz Nereida Castillo stated that since the explosion transformer the authorities of Edeeste “they have given no indication that they are going to arrange electricity”.
“They told us that they are supposedly waiting for a part that they sent for Saint Dominicbut they haven’t fixed anything,” he explained.
He said that on other occasions the energy electricbut that they had not lasted as many days as now to solve the fault.
Citizens have assured that they remain desperate due to the lack of energy electricsince the heat keeps them in anxiety and food that need to be refrigerated are being damaged.
