Cancun hosts the World Tasting Village for the first time

With the aim of continuing to promote the gastronomic sector, the World Tasting Village will be held for the first time in Cancun on August 17 and 18, as part of the Wine & Food Festival, an event that in 12 editions has brought together more than 33 thousand foodies.

“This is a unique gastronomic experience under the auspices of Porsche and co-presented by Emotions Labs at the Moon Palace Arena, where the art of traditional and avant-garde cuisine will be fused by renowned national chefs such as Zahie Téllez and Adrián Herrera, judges of Master Chef, and some of the most renowned locally such as José Luis Hinostroza,” Bernardo Enríquez, brand manager of the Wine & Food Festival, said at a press conference.

More than 15 premium restaurants from Cancun and the Riviera Maya will participate, some of which have been mentioned in the Michelin Guide, taking attendees on a challenging journey of flavors and proposals, including: Arca, Benazuza, La Casa de las Mayoras, Kiosko Verde, Litoral, Memories, Mestixa, Punta Corcho and Casa Rolandi.

Various wineries, premium spirits, mixology and gourmet products from around the world will be present in a walk-around format. There will be 35 stands, 75 exhibitors, as well as Hotel associations. An attendance of two thousand visitors is expected over two days, over four continuous hours each day. On Saturday, August 17, they will be available from 6 to 10 pm, under the concept Saturday Night Out and on Sunday, August 18 from 1 to 5 pm, in what will be called Sunday Fest.

“The participation here is a sign of the chamber’s commitment to promoting gastronomic excellence and boosting the growth of the industry in Quintana Roo. Restaurants affiliated with Canirac have been recognized for their quality and creativity in their culinary offerings, which has contributed to the positioning of the state as a world-class tourist destination,” said José Villarreal, president of Canirac in Quintana Roo.
