One day after Hurricane Beryl hit Quintana Roo, there are more than 300 thousand tourists enjoying Cancun, where the beaches are full. The state government announced that, after the meteorological alert, everything is ready to receive tourists from around the world in the Mexican Caribbean.
In this state, services and economic activity have already been reactivated in almost all its branches. In addition, since yesterday Saturday, the arrival of tourists on cruise ships to the state was reactivated, with two large ships docking in Cozumel with more than 7 thousand passengers. According to Governor Mara Lezama, 19 cruise ships are scheduled between Cozumel and Costa Maya for next week.
The governor acknowledged the people of Quintana Roo who took care of themselves and protected themselves. “The best thing Quintana Roo has is its people,” she emphasized. “The goal is for the recovery to be 100% and for the economy to be in all its splendor, with the work of the people of Quintana Roo,” said Lezama.
For his part, the head of the municipal presidency, Pablo Gutiérrez, stressed that “once again Cancún has shown itself to be a tourist giant with a strong and solid economy that is now completely back to normal.”
The official confirmed the excellent state of Cancun and the prompt response of the citizens to recover the life of the destination, by carrying out a supervision tour of different points, mainly in the first square of the city.
He pointed out that the hurricane season continues, so he urged the people of Cancun to continue taking care and precautions, as well as to stay informed through official media.
