Emirates and Avianca have launched a new codeshare partnership, allowing customers of both airlines to enjoy seamless connectivity on select routes.
Codeshare Flights include Madrid to Bogotá, Medellín or Cali; Barcelona to Bogotá; and London Heathrow to Bogotá.
Tickets can be booked now on Emirates and Avianca websites and Apps, as well as in contact centers or through online and offline Travel agencies, starting June 4.
Booking avoids itinerary complications on both companies with a single ticket, while benefiting from competitive fares and a single checked baggage policy to the final destination.
Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, said: “The codeshare agreement will allow us to expand our reach and allow our customers to use our services and fly to additional popular points in Colombia.”
For his part, Claudio Vélez, Chief Revenue Officer of Avianca, said: “We are very pleased to launch this codeshare agreement with Emirates that ratifies, once again, our commitment to connectivity, access to new destinations and greater attraction. of passengers to Latin America.”
As reported REPORTUR.mx, Avianca has announced that it will stop competing with Copa and Azul, on the route between Bogotá and Bello Horizonte, Brazil, after a year and three months of operating it, since the demand has not been enough to continue flying to this Brazilian destination.
