Arajet and Dgcine sign agreement to promote productions in the DR – Tourism news

Arajet and the General Directorate of Cinema (Dgcine) signed a collaboration agreement with the objective of supporting the Dominican cinema industry, the parties reported after the signing.

Thanks to the agreement, both entities will develop joint actions aimed at supporting the international positioning of the Dominican film industry in international markets, allowing producers, actors and actresses to achieve greater visibility and participate in festivals and events such as the Bogotá Audiovisual Market, Toronto International Film Festival and the Ventana Sur film market.

Likewise, they propose to establish strategic alliances with entities and professionals in the world’s film sector, providing them with air transportation with Arajet in its network of 23 destinations in 16 countries on the continent.

The document was signed by the general director of the Dgcine, Marianna Vargas Gurilievaand the airline’s CEO and founder, Victor Pacheco Mendezin an event held in the Los Tres Ojos room at the Arajet headquarters, according to a statement.

Vargas Gurilieva expressed the value of initiatives like these, which aim to continue strengthening the presence of Dominican cinema outside our borders.

“Increasingly, the Dominican Republic stands out in cinematographic spaces of great importance in the world and, in this case, once again having the valuable and strategic support of Arajet, means a lot for the national film industry,” he expressed.

Meanwhile, Pacheco expressed that a grain of sand that Arajet can contribute to the promotion of the Film industry fills them with pride as an airline of Dominican origin.

“Arajet wants the world to know that the Dominican Republic is more than sun and beach; “It is an island rich in culture and talents,” she pointed out.
