A Travel agency based in the province of Río Negro, Argentina, was denounced by a contingent of 50 travelers who booked a tour to visit the main cities of Europe and who described themselves as “victims of a multimillion-dollar scam for more than 350 thousand dollars.”

According to the passengers, who spoke to Catriel 25, this Travel agency is based in Catriel, in the Argentine province of Patagonia, and the contingent of travelers is made up of citizens from General Roca, Regina, Catriel, Cutral Co and Zapala. They have booked a three-week Travel package through Europe for which each person would have paid around $5,300.

The problems arose when they left Ezeiza Airport and some travelers were separated from their relatives and traveled on different planes. The latest information is that they are stranded in Edinburgh, a city in Scotland, in a student residence while they wait for help to resolve the situation. The return Flight is scheduled for July 28, and they are being asked for an additional extra amount to return to the country.

The name of the Travel agency was not disclosed, but the affected tourists pointed out that the company is operated by Liliana Silva, a well-known English teacher from the town of Catriel who owns an institute and has been organizing these types of Trips for several years.
