American Airlines has suspended Flights to Israel through the end of March, extending a pause in service that began in the early days of the war in the Gaza Strip. A spokesman for the airline said customers with tickets to Tel Aviv can reschedule their Flight at no additional cost or cancel their trip and get a refund.

The airline said Flights to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport will be suspended until March 29, 2025. It also updated its Travel advice on its website over the weekend.

“We will continue to work closely with our airline partners to provide assistance to customers traveling between Israel and European cities with service to the United States,” the spokesperson said.

Other airlines that have suspended operations to Israel include Delta, which extended its ban on Flights to Tel Aviv from August 31 to September 30, and United, which has halted service indefinitely.

Many other international airlines followed suit, although some of them resumed their Flights later.

How it progressed REPORTUR.usAt the beginning of the year, American announced the postponement of its Flights to Tel Aviv due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas, coupled with the shortage of wide-body aircraft, until October 26, but has finally extended the ban until next year (American postpones the return of routes to Tel Aviv for five months).
