Aeroméxico will launch daily direct Flights between Cancún Airport and Miami Airport starting on December 19, marking the airline’s fourth connection to Florida and its first outside of Mexico City.

This new service will complement Aeromexico’s current offering to Miami, where it already offers five daily frequencies from Mexico City, and will be the airline’s fourth route in the state of Florida, adding to the service in Orlando and Tampa from the Mexican capital. In total, the airline will be operating around 140 weekly arrivals and departures in Florida, which means an offer of up to 24,500 seats per week.

The Flights will be operated with 737 MAX 8 aircraft with capacity for 166 passengers: 16 in Premier Cabin, 18 in AM Plus and 132 in Tourist Cabin.

Aeromexico detailed that the itinerary from Cancun is leaving at 11:10 in the morning and arriving in Miami at 1:05 in the afternoon. In the opposite direction, the Flight will depart from the American city at 7:55 in the morning and arrive at the destination in the Mexican Caribbean at 9:55 in the morning.

This new Flight to the United States is also possible thanks to the Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) with Delta. With the launch of the route between Cancun and Miami, the Aeromexico-Delta alliance will jointly serve more than 65 routes between Mexico and the United States, operating more than 180 departures and arrivals daily, which represents an average offer of 31 thousand seats per day.

As reported by REPORTUR.mxthe alliance between Aeroméxico and Delta will continue to be at risk with the new Mexican government, which will be led by Claudia Sheinbaum, since within its aviation policies there are no differences with those of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO). (Aeroméxico-Delta alliance also loses hope with Sheinbaum).
