Aeroméxico has announced three new routes to destinations in the United States from Mexico City International Airport (AICM).
It will operate to Raleigh-Durham, Tampa Bay and Washington with seven weekly frequencies on each route. The aircraft with which it will fly to Raleigh-Durham and Tampa Bay will be Embraer 190 and the Boeing 737 MAX 8 to Washington.
The new routes are thanks to the alliance between Aeroméxico and Delta, which will reach more than 90 daily Flights between Mexico and the United States in July, directly to 24 destinations, from 13 cities in Mexico, according to El Universal.
As reported by REPORTUR.mxAeromexico expects to raise USD 300 million from its US stock market debut, which will benefit it if the alliance with Delta is not approved. (Aeromexico: they see benefits from breaking with Delta, not just damages).
Likewise, it will allow it to maintain demand for some routes, said Brian Rodríguez, an analyst at Monex Casa de Bolsa. He added that “being on both exchanges and obtaining new resources will allow Aeroméxico to mitigate the impact of not having an alliance with Delta, making it more resilient,” he said, as reported by Mural.
