The Aerolíneas Argentinas announcement stated: “More connected to the Dominican Republic. Fly directly to Punta Cana and arrive at one of the jewels of the Caribbean in just a few hours. During the high season, from Buenos Aires we offer five weekly Flights in November and December, increasing to six from January to March. In addition, from September to December, we operate two weekly Flights from Córdoba, increasing to four from January to March with connections to and from Mendoza.”
The information was completed with the announcement: “But that’s not all; we also have a weekly Flight from Rosario and Tucumán between January and March. We also have the best connections so you can start your trip from anywhere in Argentina, saving time and enjoying it at your destination.”
The company has yet to announce the opening date of the new routes, which will begin next January.
As reported REPORTUR.comthe Association of Airline Pilots (APLA) denounced that the government of Javier Milei is reducing the fleet of Aerolíneas Argentinas as part of a planned strategy to minimize the operations of the state-owned company. Fabio Basteiro, a leader of the sector, declared: “It is one more link in the chain planned for Aerolíneas to be reduced to the minimum expression.” (Aerolíneas Argentinas: 10 fewer planes with the downsizing plan)
