Dominican Airports XXI Century (Aerodom) reported this Friday, July 19, that all systems are working normally at the airports of Dominican Republic operated by the company, despite the computer failure affecting airports and airlines around the world.
The technological collapse caused by an update of the cybersecurity company Microsoft “CrowdStrike” caused incidents around the world, affecting international airlines, railway companies and telecommunications industries.
As a result, airlines around the world have reported Flight delays. Major US airlines, Delta, United and American Airlinessuspended their Flights early in the morning due to “communications problems,” the Federal Aviation Administration reported.
Aerodom urged passengers to check the status of their Flight with their airline before going to the airport terminal, as it may be subject to changes.
It is recalled that a faulty update of the CrowdStrike computer security platform was the origin of the failure suffered by Microsoft systems that has affected companies around the world.
The company has admitted that a bug in an update to its CrowdStrike Falcon platform, one of the Windows protection systems, has caused the chaos, and says it is already working to reverse these changes.
