He Advice of Industries of Outdoor Advertising (Cipex) stated that the fences that place their members in the city comply with the regulations contemplated in resolution 46-99 and attributed the problems of pollution visual to the sector informal.
In a letter addressed to Free Newspaperon the occasion of the publication of a report on the fences in the citywhich highlights that this business has become part of the urban landscape of Santo Domingo, and that its boom provokes mixed reactions.
He specified that each of its members has their license and complies with the regulations of placing the fences in permitted places that do not interfere with the security public. He reported that they also contribute to the treasury with the payment of taxes.
“At Cipex we have widely promoted the development of outdoor advertising regulations in accordance with best practices and that regulate the new activities developed by the Dominican outdoor advertising sector,” the document states. It noted that it has been a constant request of the organization to be taken into consideration in order to work hand in hand with the administration of the city in the development of a new regulatory body. It claims that visual pollution and distractions for drivers are, to a large extent, caused by advertising informal.
He acknowledged the proliferation of advertising elements informal that do not have the corresponding licenses or comply with the established regulations. “These elements not only evade their tax responsibilities, but also put at risk the security of citizens by not following the necessary regulations.”
The entity declared itself committed to the development ordered and sure of outdoor advertising in Santo Domingo and throughout the country and urged municipal authorities to intensify the surveillance and the controlon advertising informal and apply the corresponding sanctions to those who fail to comply with the regulations.
Cipex is made up of 80% of the companies from the formal sector of advertising outdoor advertising throughout the country, it reported. The main ones are: Rentalvisión Publicidad, SRL; Cartel. SSRL; Billboard Dominicana BDR,SRL; Sign Master, EIRL; Colorin, SA; Soutampton Investments,SRL and Luces Industriales, SRL (WorldSign).
