President Luis Abinader met with the Italian authorities where various issues were discussed, including the elimination of the Schengen visa for Dominicans.
Abinader said that among the topics discussed was the support of Sergio Mattarella so that the DR does not need a visa to enter Europe.
The president explained that the DR is among the three countries that need a visa to enter European territory.
“We discussed several follow-up issues that we have pending from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” the president told RC Noticias.
Abinader expressed that regarding bilateral relations they talked about increasing connectivity between several countries.
