The President Luis Abinader reported that starting next October a cruise ship will arrive every eight days to Cabo Rojo, Pedernales.
In offering the information, the president said that the figure is part of the programming that the cruise lines have for the area. It includes Carnival Cruise Line.
For his part, the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santoshe said that in three years it is estimated that one million tourists will arrive in Cabo Rojo.
Santos also revealed that next year (2025) two hotels with around 500 rooms will open their doors in Pedernales. These structures will contribute to the advancement of tourism in Pedernales, as has been the construction of the port of Cabo Rojo.
The statements of President Abinader and Joel Santos were offered during the tour they led in Santiago, as part of the first test of the Santiago Monorail.
