This Friday, 608 students from the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) graduated in the seventeenth Ordinary Graduation of Education Superior with the presence of professors and the council of the ceremony, headed by the rector of ITLARafael Feliz Garcia and the Minister of Education Superior, Science and Technology, Franklin García Fermín. This generation has been the largest in the history of the institute and raised the total number of professionals of the ITLA to 5,507.
At the event held at the Sansouci Convention Center, the rector expressed his joy and congratulations to each of the new professionals to complete their academic stage. “Today they receive their degrees in various areas of the technology“Each of you has shown dedication, effort and perseverance to get here, and for that, you deserve all our recognition and admiration,” he said.
Of the total of Graduatesare divided into:
- 248 belong to Software Development Technologist;
- 3 to the Artificial Intelligence Technologist;
- 13 to the Data Science and Analytics Technologist;
- 18 to the Industrial Design Technologist;
- 2 to the Renewable Energy Technologist;
- 4 to the Automated Manufacturing Technologist;
- 2 to the Medical Device Manufacturing Technologist;
- 40 to the Mechatronics Technologist;
- 24 to the Information Networks Technologist,
- 137 to the Computer Security Technologist,
- 97 to the Multimedia Technologist,
- 8 to the Sound Technologist,
- 7 to the Technologist Development of Interactive Simulations and Video Games and
- First 3 graduates of the degree course Computer forensics.
This last one has been the great novelty this year, with the first three Dominicans graduating in the Forensic Computing degree. In addition, of the 608 Graduates23% are women and 77% are men.
Also, since the ITLA confirmed the high level of employabilitywhere most of Graduates already have a job, being 92%. “This highlights the quality and competitiveness of the professional educational training that students receive at the academy,” the institute reported.
The event was attended by rectors of different universities nationals, general directors of the Dominican State, special guests and teachers of the ITLA.
