They formalized an inter-institutional collaboration agreement

The Pontifical Catholic Mother and Teacher University (PUCMM) and the Metropolitan Hospital of Health & Wellness Center Services (HOMS), formalized an inter-institutional collaboration agreement that will allow students from the academy’s School of Tourism and Gastronomy to do internships and practices at the health care center.

The purpose of the agreement is to promote the training and development of practical skills of students through professional internships that will last 360 hours and will be held at the HOMS Health & Wellness Center facilities. In addition, the agreement establishes that students who will carry out their internships here will receive induction training, informing them of those aspects that are considered necessary for the correct development of these.

Rafael Antonio Sanchez Spanishpresident of the Homs Council, stressed that, since its conception, the hospital has had a teaching soul, so through the agreement they reaffirm their great commitment to collaborate in continuing education, expanding the practical skills of students.

“Making the HOMS Health & Wellness Center facilities available is a contribution to continue developing professionals with quality, capacity and, above all, who always put humanity and service first,” he said.

Meanwhile, the rector of PUCMM, Secilia Espinalthanked the trust placed in PUCMM and the close relationship and connection that the university has developed with HOMS over the years.

He stressed that the agreement is expected to strengthen academic training through seminars, conferences and relevant international events promoted by both institutions, in addition to reinforcing the major health tourism project in the Dominican Republic.

“We have a great opportunity to relaunch and support these new initiatives, an alliance that benefits both projects and also has a great social impact for the country,” he added.
