The management of Plus Ultra and the company’s pilots are approaching positions after several months of tension in which a small part of the group has even threatened to call a strike.
As reported Preferentialboth parties are one step away from carrying out what will be the first collective agreement, whose validity will extend until 2027. The agreement, which could be consummated in the coming days, will arrive after the airline has accepted most of the claims of the pilots.
Currently, Plus Ultra has 96 pilots on staff for the six aircraft it has in the fleet, five A330s and one A340. Its plan involves the incorporation of 50 more pilots in 2025 because the incorporation of more aircraft is planned.
The company currently operates regular Flights to four countries (Peru, Colombia, Equatorial Guinea and Venezuela), with a total of 32 weekly connections. Likewise, it has a powerful ACMI/charter business line that represents 25% of its turnover, with important contracts with the Portuguese Sata and the Polish wholesaler Rainbow, among others.
As REPORTUR.mx reported, Plus Ultra has renewed its agreement with the Polish wholesaler Rainbow. The Spanish airline will once again operate charter Flights for the tour operator with one of its Airbus A330s with capacity for 299 passengers. (Plus Ultra will open a route to Cartagena de Indias from Poland)
