The system of emergencies of the Valencian Community confirmed 95 deaths only in that community caused by the DANA and an unknown number of missing people. One of the most affected towns in the area was Paiportawhere its mayor said that 40 residents had lost their lives, six of them elderly people from a residence.

The Valencian regional Executive confirmed that the provisional figure of fatalities for the floods caused by the meteorological episode in the province of Valencia amounts to 92 people, so the trickle of death confirmations continues, which began this morning with a first official figure of 51 deceasedwhich at noon rose to 62, early this afternoon to 70, and currently stands at 92.

Of the total deceased in that province, 40 occurred in Paiportaa municipality located about ten kilometers from the Valencian capital, of which 34 are in the urban area and six in a nursing home on the outskirts of the town.

King Felipe asked for caution in the face of the consequences of the floods and sent a message of condolences and sadness for the loss of human life and expressed solidarity with the victims and the damage caused.
