Grupo Xcaret issued a statement regarding the closure and opening of its parks, tours and cruise line due to Hurricane Beryl, which, according to its current trajectory, is expected to hit Quintana Roo on the night of Thursday, July 4, about 75 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen, where the Group has its base of operations.
The statement highlights that “in order to safeguard the integrity of our visitors and collaborators, we have taken the following measures in our Parks, Tours and Shipping Company: July 4: Xel-Há, Xenses Insomnia, Xoximilco, Xplor Fuego, Yalkú Parks and the Xichen tour, as well as the ferries crossing to Isla Mujeres and Cozumel will suspend operations. Xcaret, Xenses, Xplor and Xavage Parks may operate with limitations depending on current weather conditions. Xcaret México Espectacular (at Xcaret Park) will not be presented on this day.
On July 5, operations at all Grupo Xcaret Parks, Tours, and Cruise Lines will be completely suspended. On July 6, according to the information the company now has, they estimate resuming operations in a phased manner, beginning with the opening of Parque Xcaret, Xenses Insomnia, Xplor Fuego, Xoximilco, and Tour de Xenotes.
Operations, including the presentation of Xcaret México Espectacular, will be subject to partial or total restrictions based on the assessment of the impact of Beryl, for which information will be provided in due course. The resumption of operations of all parks, tours, catamarans and ferries of Grupo Xcaret is estimated to take place on July 7, according to official schedules.
“The state of Quintana Roo, where we are located, is recognized worldwide for its civil protection system and its responsible actions in the face of these events. We will be attentive to official channels and instructions from the authorities,” Grupo Xcaret said.
