World2Meet has hired former Globalia employee Gessika Da Silva as business development manager for the bedbank area. Da Silva has 20 years of experience in the sector.
“Gessika will bring its experience and enthusiasm to our bedbank business line, where we manage more than 35,000 directly contracted hotels and a total inventory of more than 600,000 hotels worldwide,” the company led by Gabriel Subías announced, as reported by Preferential.
His last position before joining W2M was at Restel, but his experience extends to other companies such as Globalia, Atout France, Flytour, Hoteles Pro and Grupo Transhotel, among others.
For his part, Subías said that Da Silva will allow them to “strengthen our operations in Brazil and will contribute to the growth and expansion of W2M.”
As reported by REPORTUR.usin June, W2M’s plans for Iberostar were to buy the Bluebay brand and triple the number of its 07 Hotels Hotel division, so if the deal goes through, all establishments would be operated under the Bluebay brand, said Gabriel Subías, CEO of W2M, as reported at the time by Desarrollo. (W2M is looking to buy the Bluebay brand and triple its Hotel division).
“If negotiations are successful and the transaction is closed, Bluebay will be the brand under which all the hotels will operate,” Subías said at the time.
