Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo, visited the Tulum airport to supervise tourist services and praised the efficiency with which technology allows Immigration to be efficient.

Lezama witnessed the arrival of three international Flights that landed within a few minutes of each other and were attended to by Immigration in less than 40 minutes. “New technology, great service,” said Lezama, as reported by La Jornada.

Likewise, Lezama, in a video he posted on social media from the baggage claim lanes, said that the time to get through Immigration is between 20 and 30 seconds. “All lanes open, Flights from Newark, New York, Montreal, Dallas and Miami. Tulum airport receives Flights from Houston, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Dallas and Miami in the United States, and from Montreal, Canada.

As reported by REPORTUR.mxthe Quintana Roo Tourism Secretariat reported that on August 7, thanks to the collaboration of Governor Mara Lezama with the administration of the Tulum International Airport “Felipe Carrillo Puerto”, the new rates for sporadic access to the federal zone intended for tourist ground transportation at the airport were published in the Official Gazette of the Federation. (Tulum Airport: rates for ground transportation reduced).

These fees will apply to companies providing pre-booked services, such as Travel agencies and timeshare companies operating in this prominent tourist destination.
