Air Canada announced it will launch new weekly Flights from Quebec City to Tulum, Mexico’s newest airport on the Yucatan Peninsula, beginning December 13, 2024, subject to government approval.
The airline will also resume non-stop services from Quebec City for winter 2024-25 to popular sun destinations including Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Punta Cana and Cancun.
“We are excited to launch new non-stop Flights from Québec City to Tulum, offering convenient access to Mexico’s Riviera Maya, as well as to resume non-stop service from Québec City to popular sun destinations,” said Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning.
The executive added that “Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations offer a wide range of Travel options for Québec residents, with easy and convenient Flights to their favourite vacation destinations in Florida, Mexico and more. Customers can make their sun vacation Travel plans now. We look forward to welcoming them on board this winter,” he said.
For his part, Stéphane Poirier, President and CEO of Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport (YQB), said: “We are delighted to add Tulum to the vacation destination offering for travelers in the Québec metropolitan region and to the return of Air Canada international Flights from Québec to popular destinations such as Cancún, Punta Cana, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.”

The airline will offer four weekly non-stop Flights between Tulum and Panama. This new route is an opportunity to attract more visitors to Quintana Roo, offering connectivity with countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and Paraguay.
