From this Monday until September 1, the tenth edition of the Travel Sale is taking place, with more than 60 agencies participating with discounts and promotions, as confirmed REPORTUR.com.ar. Martín Romano, treasurer of FAEVYT and coordinator of the event, highlighted that it is “a registered trademark of FAEVYT and that agencies expect it every year. And for many of them, this is their first time participating” (Tourism sector expectant for new edition of Travel Sale).
Speaking to the radio program Bienvenidos a Bordo and in relation to what the public is looking for at the event, Romano said: “The discount is the impetus and the financing in the possibility of being able to do it. Many times, even if one perceives that it is a good discount, one has to have the capital and the money to do it.”
And he explained: “What is sought this week is financing to Travel within Argentina, and at this event you will find the possibility of buying some products in up to 24 interest-free installments. In addition, you can look for discounts to be able to Travel in the low season. Or, already thinking about summer vacations, being able to do it so far in advance will allow you to have a different price than buying it closer to the date.”
On the other hand, he commented that the agencies form alliances with different banks in order to provide more financing to travelers “always for Trips within Argentina, because the BCRA is not yet allowing financing for Trips abroad,” and he explained that “the drop in inflation rates encourages banks to make this type of offer.”
Finally, Romano referred to sales expectations in the absence of the Previaje program: “Although Previaje was a very good tool for people to Travel, for us it was a competition, like the Travel Sale competes with its offer, against another event in which the State provided a 50% discount. What we were trying to do was to adapt and add some more offers. Of course, we believe that many people will take advantage of these discounts and the offers that may be available during the event.”
