Eight million 145 thousand 548 Dominicans are summoned by the Central Electoral Board to elect, this Sunday, to the president and vice president of the Republic, 32 senators and 190 deputies, in presidential and congressional elections.
The voters will choose a president and a vice president of the Republic, from among nine couples nominated by coalitions, majority parties and emerging organizations. These are:
Luis Abinader and Raquel Peñanominated by the Avanza RD coalition, led by the Modern Revolutionary Party and more than 22 allies.
Abel MartÃnez and Zoraima Cuellonominated by the Dominican Liberation Party.
Leonel Fernández and Ingrid Mendoza, nominated by Fuerza del Pueblo and six allied organizations.
Miguel Vargas Maldonado and Joel Rafael DÃaz, nominated by the Dominican Revolutionary Party.
MarÃa Teresa Cabrera and Jesús DÃaz, nominated by the Frente Amplio.
Fulgencio Severino and Francisca Peguero, nominated by Patria Para Todos.
Carlos Peña and Nikauly de La Mota, nominated by Generation of Servers.
Virginia Antares and Domingo Abreu, nominated by Democratic Option.
Roque Espaillat and José Fadul, nominated by the Party of National Hope.
32 Senators and 190 Representatives
23 senators are seeking re-election, out of a total of 32.
190 deputies are chosen in the DR, of which, 178 are chosen by proportional representation, at a rate of one for every 50 thousand inhabitants, 7 from abroad and 5 nationals.
