«We feel more than honored with the meeting of our Ministry and the representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, chaired by Akihico Tanaka, as well as the person in charge of the Community Alliance for the Development of the Sustainable Tourism Circuit in the Northwest Region ( Kareta Travels),” Rodríguez said.
He expressed that the idea is to promote and develop sustainable community tourism in the Valverde Province, since it has natural resources such as rivers, mountains and Protected Areas, according to Nuevo Diario.
«Then we must take advantage of these resources that Mother Nature gives us. Furthermore, the Valverde province has delicious gastronomy, both for local tourists and for international tourists, and the idea is to structure a platform with the collaboration of Kareta Travels and JICA,” he emphasized.
A working table was held at the meeting, which was also attended by the mayors of the municipalities of Esperanza, Laguna Salada and Mao, a representative of Governor Deisy Aquino, Neighborhood Councils, Civil Defense and a representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Valverde. .
